I have been meaning to start a blog, (or what in old money was called a diary), for some time, and I guess that the end of a year, and what I hope is the start of a new chapter of life, would be as good a time as any to start.
The varied views from this shelf will be from my little corner of the world for most of the time. However, on a clear day I can expand the view across the county or across the world, and I can even see back in time on a very clear day, but not so good seeing forwards even from my highest shelf.
I am not completely sure of the purpose of this blog just yet, except to say that I know that it will serve one, or several. It may not make sense, it may be illogical at times. I am sure at times it will be self and world critical and no doubt self pitying, cynical, humourous I hope, and probably therapeutic, but it will be honest, and hopefully entertaining and educational at times for writer and reader alike.
Firstly, good riddance to 2010. It has been a largely unkind and tough year in many ways. Sadly, I feel that 2011 will be tougher financially at least. But I have hope, which is the greatest of all things beside love, that the year will be kinder.
I hope your year is a content and healthy one, and that some dreams come true.
So.....................here were go......what can I see?
